Friends of The Bike Farm
2024 Season, Our 11th Season!
If you’re looking for guiding, coaching, or rental bikes, you have come to the right place.
If you’re looking for camping/glamping:
Long story short, our long term lease expired in 2020 and the landowners chose to sell the land. The good news is we moved to what we believe to be an even better location with ride in/ride out access right at the entrance to Pisgah. We are focusing exclusively on our guide and coaching services as well as bike rental program. Our 2022 fleet of Yeti Cycles is waiting for you. We have developed an awesome new skills coaching area and transitioned to the new space April 15th, 2021. If your guided ride or skills coaching session is dependent upon accommodations, just let us know, we can point you in the right direction.
Once our guiding, coaching, and rentals are fully stabilized, we may consider a campground, and we do have the opportunity to do so on the new land. Now more than ever we hope that you will stay in touch, think of our coaching and guiding services should you ever want to explore new trails, the further reaches of the forest, ride with a bike farm buddy, stop by for a t-shirt or just to say hello.
Gift Cards
There is no denying that as a mom and pop micro business we are feeling the sting of Coronavirus and subsequent inflation to our operational bottom line. We know you may be too. If you are able, now would be a very meaningful time to buy a gift card for future use. Even better yet, please consider buying a gift card for a friend who hasn't heard of The Bike Farm, but could use some fresh mountain air. No higher compliment could be paid than for you, our friends, to share The Bike Farm with your friends. It would be greatly appreciated.
Community Pricing
(We are all in this together)
Shortly before the Pandemic made its way to the US, we made our annual update to pricing. For the campground, this increase was quite modest. For guiding and coaching the increase was slightly higher than in years past. This was done in an effort to make this a more sustainable career path for our full time core team. And then...Coronavirus. And then…historically high inflation. Now it feels a little inappropriate to raise prices when many of you are feeling the pinch just like us. As a company that is built around the healing to be found on two wheels in the woods, we are introducing community pricing for our ride services. We can't stand the thought of the mom or dad who have been stuck inside with their children for just a little too long being priced out of mountain biking. Long and short, if you are someone who can afford the 2022 pricing, great, pay it forward for someone who might not be able to. For those who aren't able to afford the pricing, please call or email. We will work with you. We don't want to price people out of riding a bike in the woods ever, let alone in these times when it may be the very medicine we need most.
Here’s to fresh air, open spaces and good friends. We hope to see you soon.
Thank you,
The Bike Farm Team
