APRIL 5TH & 6TH: MTB SKILLS COURSE WITH THE BIKE FARM AT WATERSHED TRAIL SYSTEM

Join Shawn Neer, UCI gold medalist and Factory Yeti rider, along with Cypress Gory, professional cycling coach and multiple-time U-23 and collegiate XC national champion, for a weekend of expert coaching and guided adventuring at the new Watershed Trail System, located at the base of Catawba Falls. This exclusive event takes place the weekend before the official opening, offering participants a special preview of the trails.

What You'll Learn:

  • Saturday (10 AM - 4 PM): Start with the basics and dive deep into the fundamentals of MTB. We’ll cover everything needed to enhance front-end grip, confidently jump and hit drops, and corner with finesse. The day ends with significant trail time, applying what you've learned.

  • Sunday (10 AM - 3 PM): Begin with a quick review of key drills, followed by a full day on the trails. It's an excellent opportunity to practice your new skills in a real-world setting and get real time feedback from coaches.

Additional Details:

  • Camping: Available Saturday night with Shawn, Cypress, and The Bike Farm crew.

  • Meals: Dinner available on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.

  • Class Structure: Suitable for those who want to join both days or just one. Each day is structured to benefit all participants, whether you’re refining skills or looking to push your limits.

  • Enough food and water for 2-3 hours of riding and a mindset to perfect the small details. You’re going to leave with the tools to conquer the hardest sections on any trail.

Sunday April 6th 2025 - Extend Your Skills on the Trails.

Whether you're building on the lessons from yesterday's skills course or just joining us for the day, this coed guided ride is an excellent opportunity to enhance your trail techniques. Spend five hours applying and perfecting your skills on the diverse trails of the Watershed Trail System. This session focuses on practical skill application, helping you refine your mountain biking abilities in a real-world setting.

Surround yourself with the beauty of nature and the camaraderie of fellow riders as we turn new techniques into seasoned skills, ensuring you leave with both great memories and noticeable improvements in your riding.

  • We will break into groups and allow each group to feed off of each other, driving the pace and intensity. Whether you want to hammer or have a chill day out in the woods, there will be a perfect group for you. Coaches will rotate within groups.

  • Bring your imagination, the coaches are there to guinea pig the lines and jumps that you dream up with on our journey. Also if you are not wanting to bonk, bring enough food and water for 5 hours (we will have water filters for creek stops). A tube and CO2 on each rider are mandatory.
