Ride With a Local

The Bike Farm is here to provide you with the best mountain biking experience western North Carolina has to offer. We provide half, full, and multi day guided rides custom tailored to an individual or groups abilities, desires, time, and budget. All trips are private, so you will never be put with another group. We are permitted in Pisgah National Forest and DuPont State Recreation Forest.

We cater to all ability levels, from beginner to Pro riders. Our staff includes female and male guides, all of which are Wilderness First Aid and CPR certified. When riding in a new area, the only way to ride like a local is to ride with a local!

20% multi day discount offered on half and full day rides
Ride times do not include any logistics time involved transporting or setting up bikes.

Community Pricing (We are all in this together)

Shortly before the Pandemic made its way to the US, we made our annual update to pricing. For the campground, this increase was quite modest. For guiding and coaching the increase was slightly higher than in years past. This was done in an effort to make this a more sustainable career path for our full time core team. And then...Coronavirus. And now…historically high inflation. Now it feels a little inappropriate to raise prices when many of you are feeling the pinch just like us. As a company that is built around the healing to be found on two wheels in the woods, we are introducing community pricing for our ride services. We can't stand the thought of the mom or dad who have been stuck inside with their children for just a little too long being priced out of mountain biking. Long and short, if you are someone who can afford the 2022 pricing, great, pay it forward for someone who might not be able to. For those who aren't able to afford the pricing, please call or email. We will work with you. We don't want to price people out of riding a bike in the woods ever, let alone in these times when it may be the very medicine we need most. *Cancellation Policy

We typically* don’t offer refunds within 30 days of your arrival date. More than 30 days before your arrival date, we will refund your booking, less a 10% administrative fee.

Within 14 days of your booking we aren't able to reschedule, refund, or otherwise alter your booking, as the resource has been allocated to you, keeping us from allocating it to someone else.

*Generally speaking we like to think we are reasonable human beings. We know that things happen, so call if you believe your situation warrants an exception.

From time to time rain delays are required for guided rides and coaching sessions, but rarely do we have rain cancellations. Our guides are trained to keep you safe, it is left to our discretion if a trip should be delayed or cancelled. As we are at the whim of nature we do sometimes have to do rain checks.

Bike & Equipment Rental

Full Suspension Bike $90

At The Bike Farm, we understand bikes, but more importantly we understand what bike will ensure that you enjoy your time on the trails as much as possible. Our 2021 Yeti full suspension demo bikes are equipped with Fox suspension, hydraulic disc brakes, 12 speed drivetrains, and dropper posts. We have SB115’s, SB130’s, SB130LR’s, SB140’s and SB150’s to put a smile on the face of any of our customers.

We can discuss the type of riding you want to do and find the right bike for you. Choose from 24″ (children specific), 26″, 27.5″ and 29″ wheeled bikes, from some of the leading bike builders on the planet. Rest assured, we’re here to make life easier for you and help you find the perfect bike for your stay with us.

If you would like to handle your own rental arrangements, our local shops (Sycamore Cycles , Squatch Bikes or The Hub) offer a wide range of rentals from $35-$105 per day.
